Cordula Treml - Portrait

After studying performing arts and language in Munich and Paris, Cordula Treml organised exhibitions at the German Theatre Museum in Munich.

From 2004 till 2006 she worked for Cameron Mackintosh Ltd. in London where she developed guided tours of historical theatres in the West End. She also worked on cataloguing and digitalisation of performing arts pictures.

Since 2007 she has been living in Paris. There, she has trained and learnt photography at the Ecole de l’Image des Gobelins.
Cordula Treml works regularly with the Paris based photographers Christian Crampont and Mauro Guglielminotti and does stage photography for various companies and theatres.

In 2009 she presented her first exhibition, a series of pictures taken in the dressing rooms, in Paris and Marseille: "AVANT LA SCÈNE – Portraits de comédiens".

In 2010 Cordula Treml is invited to present a short-film blending dressing room pictures and texts, written and recorded by the actors on those images, at the performance festival 'Rencontres improbables' in Bayonne.

In 2011, she participates in an exhibition of the photographer's collective PN 95 in Paris (Espace Beaurepaire) and Herblay, where she presents a new series of backstage pictures.
